The bowl and cover is made from a smooth, buff colored stoneware clay. The liner glaze was brush painted in 2 coats. The green glaze was poured over the bowl and cover in two coats.

The pot is 6 inches in dia. and 4-1/2 inches high top the top of the cover. It holds 16 ozs and weighs 1lb.-10oz. without packing.

We use similar bowls in our kitchen. The following is a very quick winter lunch recipie:
The soup recipie, roughly....tuna or some meat, 2 heaping tablespoons of tomato or pizza sauce, 1 heaping tablespoon of salsa (I'm a wimp. I use mild), then 1 tablespoon of a choice of or all of cooked pasta, soaked lentils, quick barley. Then fill the rest with vegies of your choice. I've found frozen peppers and onions to be good. Then fill the bowl to your taste with unsalted beef, chicken or vegetable broth and then nuke 2m 10s, which works for our microwave
