Stoneware casserole for cooking in an oven. Bowl is 9" wide, 9-3/4" at the rim and, with cover, 6-1/4” high. The casserole is made of a buff colored speckled stoneware. The glaze is a translucent glaze with a bit of a rutile opacifier and a bit of iron. It gives a subtle tan color with speckle from the clay showing through. The casserole weighs 5 lb 2ozs and holds about 2 quarts.
