The shape of the mug is in the style of a British tankard but is a bit smaller. The exterior grey-brown glaze was applied blow spraying. A muted blue wash was applied in vertical, overlapping stripes with a sponge brush. The inside was brushed with a buff satin may liner glaze and all fired to stoneware temperature.


The cup measures 3-1/2" diameter , 5-3/8" across the handle and 4-1/8" high. The cup is fairly light weighing 12-3/8oz. and holds 1-3/4 cups.
