A set of buff colored stoneware soup bowls with handles. These 4 bowls are made with a buff stoneware clay. A buff colored, rutile satin glaze is used all over. The bowls are stackable as are the covers. They are also microwave and oven safe.
I made the bowls especially for the use of making soup in the microwave. I found that everytime I was having soup for lunch, I had to find something to cover the bowl to prevent splatters from the usual microwave explosions. Thes bowls and covers do the trick.
Notice the stamps on the covers and handles to match the pieces.
The bowls measure 5 in high with the cover and 5 in dia. across the handle, each bowl measures 6-1/2 in. The capacity of each bowl is 2 cups.
Each bowl weighs 1 lb 6-1/2oz and the 4 bowls weigh 5 lb 7 oz., all without packaging.
