This is a 2 piece planter with a separate pot and tray. It uses my new silica earthenware glaze. It has incised scrafitto decoration. A brown clay slip was brushed into the incised decoration and the clear silica glaze was sprayed on over the scrafitto decoration.

This pot is a little big for a windowsill but would work in a bay window, on the porch or on a table in the sun. If you didn't want to use the tray it would be good in the oven for a pie ittle casserole. It's ok in a microwave if its dry. Make sure its dry if you use it in a microwave oven.

When watering a plant, pour enough water to make a little water come out in the tray. Otherwise, when gravity works on the water in the potting soil, you might get a flood

Earthen ware clay is not good if left out in freezing temperatures. Take it in for the winter or it'll spall.

The planter pot is 7-3/4 inches tall and 8-1/8 inches in diameter. The tray is 2 inches tall and 8-1/2 inches in diameter. The set weighs 4 lbs 9 0z without packing
