The planter is made of a white earthenware clay. I underglaze painted 2 flowers with plant leaves on the planter in different colors. The flowers are figments of my imagination.

When watering a plant, pour enough water on the plant to make a little water come out in the tray. Otherwise, more filling, when gravity works on the water in the potting soil, you might get a flood.

Earthenware clay is not good if left out in freezing temperatures. Take it in for the winter or it'll spall.

The planter is 4-1/4" tall by 5-1/2" in diameter. The attached tray is 1-1/8" tall and4-1/8" in diameter. The planter weighs 13 oz without packing
